Ted Arnold February 20, 2019 Event 2018 SAE A World in Motion Jet Toy Competition Ted Arnold February 20, 2019 Event More than 500 fifth grade students from Georgia and Alabama competed in the annual SAE International A World in Motion Jet Toy Competition sponsored by Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG). KMMG has donated more than $2.1 million to provide local schools the materials and training to help K-8 students with hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering and math. Students from Huguley Elementary in Chambers County, Al., show that teamwork builds a great Jet Toy balloon powered car. After weeks of hands-on preparation in the classroom, a student from Ethel W. KightElementary in Troup County, Ga. is ready for the challenge. As part of SAE International’s A World in Motion program, students from Creekside Elementary, Harris Co., Ga., learn to apply skills such as collaboration, communication and problem solving to build a successful balloon powered car.
